Breastfeeding Week: *Mommy Breastfeeds My Baby Brother Review And Giveaway {CLOSED}

I am a nursing mother. I have a 6 week old baby, a 2 year old and my 4 year old daughter.

Although, I did nurse my 2 year old; apparently my oldest daughter forgot or maybe has just seen to many family and friends bottle feeding, climbed up onto the couch while I nursed my brand new baby and asked.

"What are you doing?"

"I have to feed the baby."

"HE EATS YOU?!!" She said puzzled and shocked.

I couldn't help but laugh and try to explain what exactly I was doing and why.

So, This book is perfect. It helps teach children the reason for breastfeeding and why we do it in a sweet way that was easy for my 2 children to understand.

It tells a story of a little girl who doesn't understand why a baby would eat from her mother. The book is beautiful and shows a "realness" from the hospital to being confined to a couch with a toddler being a restless child wanting attention. Why mommy needs to feed the baby and why the baby needs her in return.

I thought this book had such a sweet way of showing such a beautiful thing.

BUY IT!! You can buy this book directly from Mommy Breastfeeds.com for $16.99. It also just won 2009 Mom's Best Literary Gold Award.

WIN IT!! I am giving away my copy of Mommy Breastfeeds My Baby Brother to (1) lucky reader. The book is in mint condition and is lovely. Follow my blog and Leave a comment with your email to win.

I'd love this for when we have our next (hopefully in 2010). Though my daughter BF until 15+ months and still occasionally gives me the eye if I dress in front of her, this will be a great tool when we have #2!

This book sounds so sweet! My 7 year old step-son had a similar experience at the hospital... seeing me nurse his brother for the first time, he said: "Oh... so THAT's what those are for!" :o)
